Terms and Conditions

1. General Information

  • These terms and conditions apply to all tours, safaris, and language services offered by our Linguaphiles Connect Association Uganda Limited. By booking with us, you agree to these terms and conditions.
  • Our services include customized safaris, wildlife tours, cultural experiences, and language translation/interpretation in French, Spanish, Chinese, and German.

2. Booking and Payment

  • All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email) and accompanied by a deposit of 40% of the total cost.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the tour or service. Failure to pay the full amount within the specified time may result in cancellation or extra charge.
  • Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other payment methods as agreed upon during booking.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made 60 days before the start of the tour will receive a full refund, minus a 5% processing fee.
  • Cancellations made 10-40 days prior will receive a 50% refund of the deposit.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 20 days before the start date or for no-shows.
  • If we must cancel the tour due to unforeseen circumstances (with written authentic proof), you will receive a full refund or an option to reschedule.

4. Language Services

  • Our translation and interpretation services in French, Spanish, Chinese, and German are available for both tours and standalone language needs.
  • Requests for language services should be made at least 7 days in advance to ensure availability.
  • Charges for interpretation services are based on an hourly rate or a fixed rate per day, as agreed upon during booking.

5. Health and Safety

  • All guests are required to have valid medical insurance covering international travel, including emergencies and evacuation.
  • It is your responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
  • Guests must follow safety guidelines provided by our driver-guides and park authorities at all times.

6. Liability and Insurance

  • While we take every precaution to ensure your safety and well-being, participation in our tours and safaris is at your own risk.
  • We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage that may occur during the tour unless it is due to our negligence.
  • We strongly recommend all clients have comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, health, accident, and personal property.

7. Changes to Itinerary

  • We reserve the right to alter any tour or safari itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions, security concerns, or park regulations.
  • Any changes to the itinerary will be communicated promptly, and we will make every effort to provide alternative options of equal value.

8. Visas and Travel Documents

  • It is the responsibility of each client to obtain the necessary visas, permits, and travel documents for entry into Uganda and other countries as specified in your travel itinerary.
  • We offer guidance on visa requirements and applications, but we are not responsible for any visa issues or delays.

9. Respect for Culture and Environment

  • We expect all guests to respect local customs, traditions, and wildlife during their visit.
  • Activities like littering, off-road driving, or use of drones without proper authorization are prohibited and may result in penalties.

10. Force Majeure

  • We shall not be held responsible for any delay, cancellation, or disruption of our services caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, government regulations, or political instability.

11. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes or claims arising out of your use of our services will be subject to Ugandan jurisdiction.

12. Feedback and Complaints

  • We value your feedback and strive to provide exceptional service. If you have any issues during your trip, please inform us as soon as possible so that we can address them promptly.
  • Any complaints or disputes must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the conclusion of the tour or service.
